Eye Correction Knowledge Base
I want laser eye correction but dont know much about it? I wear contacts and am getting sick of dealing with them. I know laser eye correction costs a couple of grand an eye but is there some kind of payment system you can get? Is there a high interest rate for that? Would it be worth it in relation to the cocts of contacts/glasses? Would there be any reason i wouldnt be able to get it done? In Victoria Australia, where would people recommend? Would my optomitrist recommend a truly decent place or would they only recommend based on commerce connections with that place?
Shortsightness and Laser eye correction does it last? in 2005 i had a lasek eye correction, i had very bad short sight and i was happy with the results at the time now 5 yrs later my short sight is coming back slowly. is there anything i can do to stop the shortsightness getting worse.
Is laser eye correction any good? I' m a teenager but my eye sight is worsening and the career i want needs pretty good vision so i want to know if its worth having laser eye correction and if its any good. So help me please!
Were monocles worn because only one eye needed correction? Or was it that the wearers preferred them to spectacles, but chose only to correct one eye? Kasumica, I think they must have required correction in at least one eye, or they would have had a plain glass monocle, if that is what you are suggesting.
Is lazy eye correction worth it? I have, diagnosed too visually late by my moron doctors, a lazy eye. It's really becoming cosmetically bothersome to me; I feel like I look like an idiot when I look people in the eye. Can the appearance (not the eyesight capabilities, I've been told already that that can't be fixed anymore) of the misaligned eye be corrected by surgery at age 15? Are the risks worth it?
Can i get laser eye correction? some of you probably know already from my other question but then i suddenly thought. can i get laser eye correction, i have a squint in my left eye, but does that mean i cant? the power of my eyes are +9.00 in my right, and +9.50 in my left. Get back to me guys! i wannaa know :)
is it a waste of money to get one of those "eye make up correction pens"? i always seem to screw up my eye make up but im not sure if those correction pens are worth the money, it might just be better to het liquid eyeliner that isnt starting to go clumpy, but i screw it up anyway tbh. and then use make up remover, which ends up greasy so cant reapply it without powder etc etc. any way are these things worth it for correcting waterproof mascara/eyeliner?
Laser Eye Vision Correction? If laser eye surgery is so widely available, list some reasons why so many people today still wear glasses and contacts if their vision is correctable. I already know some factors; Cost and Young age, but what prevents everyone from getting it? What are some limiting factors? And why can't older people with failing vision have it restored to 20/20 with laser eye correction? Ok, so another factor is risk and personal preference to wear glasses, but besides that, what are other reasons? Come on, no one knows? Has teh interwebz truly failed me?
Eye correction techniques? A few years back I saw a news segment where there was a technique to correct bad eyesight not involving lasers. It somehow involved changing the shape of the eye (I think) and was only available in canada since the USDA wouldn't approve the procedure. I may be mistaken about some of the details. Could you please list all available medical procedures for eye correction other than lasik? Thank you.
eye correction and the marines? I don't have perfect vision, and i would rather get laser surgery than get glasses, but I read somewhere that if you have corrected your eyes with laser surgery you cannot be accepted in the marines/navy. Is this true? Question: does the fact that you have had laser eye surgery affect your elegibility to join the marines?
Is there any correction for lazy eye? Now officially i don't know if i have a lazy eye. Whenever i don't blink frequently or if I concentrate on something my left eye drifts inward diagonally (upward) and my right eye stays where it was. I've never consulted an optometrist or anything mainly because its kind of embarrassing. I don't really know if it matters or not, but I'm sixteen years old. If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate it!

New surgery for eye correction? I'm extremely nearsighted, and my doctors have told me that laser most likely won't work on me. However, he told me that right now there's a new experiment where they put an actual lense into your eye to correct your vision. He said that most likely this was the only thing that was going to help me. Anybody hear about this yet?
Have you had LASIK eye-correction done? How were the results? Would you recommend it to a family member? Were there any complications at all? I've heard that some people see halos around light at night time and stuff like that. Hmmm well there is no best answer just like 99% of the time. I think I get points by picking one though.
LasikPlus eye correction...? I had LasikPlus eye correction two months ago, and my vision is still blurry. The doctor says to wait and see what happens, but I think I'm going to need a follow-up procedure. Has anyone else experienced this? Can it get better without another surgery?

Can you suggest a good Veterinary Surgeon who does Cherry Eye correction on dogs in Atlanta, GA? I'm searching for a vet hospital in or near Atlanta, GA, that can perform correction of cherry eye on my dog. I'd like to find one that uses a laser as I've heard this is less painful and has a higher success rate for non-reoccurence. Any details such as cost, suggestions, etc. are greatly appreciated! I'm searching for a vet hospital in or near Atlanta, GA, that can perform correction of cherry eye on my dog at a reasonable cost (although not sure what "reasonable" is. cost of laser eye correction is crazy? I was quoted £1500 per eye! for a op they say takes about 10 miins, that works out at about £9000 per hour they are charging! Even my lawyer would be embarrassed to charge that much! so much for the advertised prices you see for less than £400.
EYE correction - laser operation before/after baby? I am 23, want a baby around 28. I cannot decide if I should have a laser eye operation after it b/c someone told me the pressure in the eye is very high in the pregnancy... I don't know, do you? I wear contacts since I was 12... I also wondered if eyes get worse a bit after pregnancy?
Can laser eye surgery cause a detached retina a few weeks later? A work colleague of mine had laser eye correction done recently, to correct very short sightedness. It seemed to work well. About 3 weeks later she was rushed to hospital for a detached retina. That was a month ago and her vision in that eye is terrible and getting worse. She is in some discomfort. She is very depressed. Her surgeon is being cagey about what caused it - is it just a coincidence?

My eye sight is really bad! What can i do to make it better? I'm only 15 and I probably have the worst eye sight ever! My prescription is really high... 3.0 and 3.5 this is probably because when i was really little i would sit too close to the computer screen and tv, but i have never had my eyes checked before until i was 13. If i had it checked earlier it probably wouldn't be that bad. What can i do to prevent my eyesight from getting WORST? and does lasik eye correction really work? and what age should be good to do so?

Contact lenses - different distance correction in each eye? For anyone who wears or who has tried to wear contact lenses that correct for distance vision in one eye and close vision in the other -- did you or do you like them or not and why? It is called monovision. If you are or have ever worn them, you will know that you did. http://www.allaboutvision.com/contacts/bifocals.htm "With monovision, you wear one contact lens with one power to correct distance vision and the other contact lens with one power to correct near vision. The distance vision lens is usually worn in your dominant eye." I have heard of and read about some problems with them and am hoping for some people who have personal experience with them. damond h - Thanks for the info on bifocal lenses. That is another option, of course, and I appreciate your comments.

Thanks in advance for all your help.
